Bird Makeup Looks with NME Box

Creating new makeup effects looks with non-traditional items is fun. This month NME Box is pulling from November’s homage to a certain bird, the turkey.

NME Boxers will be flying high with this one!

(Did that one work? No?)

When I was researching what new and exciting look I can do for this month it wasn’t long before I stumbled upon the beautiful bird makeups across the internet. So many talented artists have created their versions of bird makeups using many different mediums.

What makes a bird makeup?

You’d be surprised to see that many bird makeups aren’t using any feathers. Some people chose to use the colors of birds as inspiration for outrageous beauty looks. Others found a way to paint the look of feathers.

One common piece in creating a bird makeup is in the beak. I’ve seen more people use a narrow bridge on the nose that comes to a distinct peak. That peak (or beak) can be accomplished using a prosthetic or makeup alone.

A look inside November’s NME Box

If you didn’t get your hands on a box this month, you can still join the fun with these similar products from Amazon. (You know the disclaimer with these links. It doesn’t keep the lights on, but it helps keep this blog up!).

Until next time, I hope you find a way to fly with this one! (<- Last one.) And remember. Never stop creating. The world wants to see what you makeup!
